FAQ

Common questions about dog rehabilitation

What conditions can dog rehabilitation help with?
We treat post-surgical recovery (TPLO, FHO, cruciate repair), IVDD, hip and elbow dysplasia, osteoarthritis, soft-tissue injuries, and senior mobility issues. Every plan is tailored after a full musculoskeletal assessment.
Do you come to my home in Abu Dhabi?
Yes — we are fully mobile. Sessions take place at your home, which keeps your dog calm in a familiar environment and lets us assess how they move in their everyday space.
How many sessions will my dog need?
It depends on the condition. Post-surgical cases often benefit from weekly sessions initially, then tapering to fortnightly or monthly maintenance. Chronic conditions like arthritis may need ongoing support. We always reassess and adjust the plan.
Is a veterinary referral required?
We prefer to work alongside your vet and may request a referral or recent medical history to ensure treatment is safe and appropriate. This is especially important after surgery or for neurological cases.
What happens during the first assessment?
The first visit includes a detailed gait analysis, joint and muscle palpation, range-of-motion testing, and a review of your dog's history. We then design a treatment and home-exercise plan and discuss frequency and goals.
Can you help senior dogs with arthritis?
Absolutely. Arthritis and age-related stiffness are among the most common conditions we treat. We use manual therapy, gentle exercise, and pain-management strategies to improve comfort and keep older dogs active.
